Interesting to hear this from an Iraqi police colonel:

"A lot of people from outside Iraq are trying to destroy our country," he said. "The people have to let the Coalition Forces not just here but in the capital help us because Baghdad can't run Iraq until it reconciles with the competent officials who served under Saddam Hussein."

IMHO, the biggest wouldn't have / shouldn't have in this whole thing (besides not killing enough of them in the first place???) was the total disenfranchisement of Baathist (sp?) Party members (from my understanding, mostly competent dudes trying to make a living within the system). Glad to see we're trying to bring them back into the fold.
