One of the most memorable days of my life was to (accidentally but fortunately) be present at Clark AFB, PI, as the C-141's (and DC-9's) landed with the first waves of our liberated POW's from Hanoi. I had some squadron-mates and shipmates in the group, and thanked God for all their return.

Wow, whatta airplane, HUGE or so I thought. Hard to believe they're gone. Caught a hop Norfolk to AAFB on a C 54 and then a 141 from Andrews to McGuire AFB. The 141 ride was over as soon as it started, they JUMPED into the sky without any apparent pitch angle just pure lift.

Great video. Must watch. Some very intense emotions throughout.
