Time between selection and reporting to OCS???

Does anyone know what the average wait time is from when you are selected until you report to OCS? I will be submitting my packet around March 1st, and from what I've seen on some other posts, I will probably report sometime around Dec. if selected. Is this accurate?

yea yea, ya'll can kiss my butt. IF and only IF I dont make it, you can make fun of me all you want, but the Navy hasn't said no yet so as far as I'm concerned I'm still in the cockpit of a rhino (at the stick not to mention). I'm gonna make it and no1 is gonna tell me different! For those of you (1) who lended a helpful nugget, thanks.

I agree. For some reason last time I tried to get wings put under my name with that logic, the mods wouldn't do it. They're just wusses.

RD - Bit of advice before this blows up. Take it all with a grain of salt. Its good to have a positive attitude but just be careful how much you bite off. As you apply and make it through the many pieces and parts of the program, you will learn just how hard it is. Its good to be aggressive and be proud of things you have done so far, but if you come off as arrogant and cocky acting like you've done something you havent, everyone will jump on you. And none of that "I can take you all on" bullshit mentality. Theres a lot to learn from everyone on this site. Have fun with the ribbing that will probably follow. Stand your ground with your goals, but realize that they are still goals and not accomplishments.

Good luck.

And stand by... :D

Sadly, I'm flying out the door to go see Gran Torino and can't fully rip you a new one.

Slammer - Thanks for the constructive criticism. I'm new to the community here and dont really know how things work if you know what I mean. I'm not trying to be arrogant, and for all you who take my username as cocky, I apologize. By no means am I trying to downplay your accomplishments. I know how hard it is to get to where all of you are, and for that reason, I am being optomistic to keep myself motivated. SO - now that I've introduced myself to all of you (hope I'm not totally off on the wrong foot) I look forward to learning from you all, and HOPEFULLY serving next to you someday.

RhinoDriver.....you aren't telling girls you meet that your friends call you Maverick or Iceman are you?.....just RhinoDriver? (this is a rhetorical question, and demonstration of a misunderstanding of this question is admission to guilt) :)
