You will only do basic training if you enlist. Officers go to OCS, not boot camp. PLC Combined and OCC are ten weeks long. PLC Juniors and Seniors are six weeks long each. The Basic School is what you will attend after your commissioning, and it is six months long.

The time line for flight school varies, but if you do a search you will find all the answers you need.

i though the whole thing with Marines was that everyone went through the same basic training, regardless of officer or enlisted?

Nope. Officers either go through OCS (OCS/OCC/PLC variants as described elsewhere) or are commissioned from NROTC or USNA. All Marine officers go through The Basic School (TBS) as officers, which is not the same as "Basic" training for enlisted Marines.

There are some differences, but the outcome tends to be similar. A recruit will come out of recruit training as a basic riflemen and then go on to follow on training in their specific MOS(field). At the end of TBS, all officers will be provisional rifle platoon commanders. Like a recruit, they will then go on to their respective MOS school (such as flight school...)

-OCS can be either 2, 6 week sessions during two summers or can be done during a one 10 week session.
-TBS is 6 months.
-Flight school will have to be broken down further...
-API will be about 6 weeks
-Primary will be around 6-8 months.
-Advanced helo, props, or jets seem to be anywhere from 6 months to upwards of 12 months. A lot is dependant on training schedule, weather, and most importantly which pipeline you are in.

You will be getting yelled at by enlisted personnel, but no, there won't be any recruits getting trained along with you.

so after college once i go in i won't have any contact with enlisted guys (as far as training goes)
and also as a sidenote whats the deal with these billets? from what the recruiter has told me that basically they pressure you into going into other fields for a couple years. is this less common in being a pilot due to your increased training? I don't want to spend all this time in flight school and then have someone tell me i have to go be a recruiter otherwise i won't be getting promoted.

Well, at OCS you will have almost 100% contact with those great enlisted Marines, that is who will train you. At TBS, you will have less contact with enlisted guys, but when field training, they will be the ones making sure your training is good training. They will teach you some classes on weapons. As a Marine officer you will be trained to lead those Marines. They will salute you and call you sir, but you will listen very close to everything they have to say - many of them have been around a long time and have a wealth of knowledge. Even those LCpls out there have seen a lot and are very proficient in their fields. The contact you have with them through the OCS/TBS process is priceless. They are the Marine Corps.

The deal with these billets is that its part of being a Marine. No one is going to pressure you into doing anything. You are expected to be a well rounded Marine and part of that is being proficient in many fields beyond your initial MOS. You are not going to be told you have to do something 'or else'. If you have a problem after your fleet tour with being part of recruiting, deveoloping and training the next generation of Marines then you should look elsewhere.
