Toughest physical regiment???

First off, I was pro-rec for SNA BDCP (close to final select), and I do not have to go to OCS for another two years. I was wondering if someone that has been through OCS could tell me what was the worst physical training they did while they were there (i.e. running push ups etc.)? I realize that no matter how much information one receives, one will not be prepared for what happens when you arrive there, but I am still curious. I am a div 1 athlete, and in good shape, but I would like to get a little taste of the unknown.

I searched various threads, and could not find this specific question, so if this question has already been asked, I apologize.

Oh, jeez...bear crawls through goose sh*t and broken clam shells, right guys? :)

I also had a lot of "fun" doing the lunges with your whole class arm-in-arm, down the big line...remember that one? What else do you guys remember liking best? ;)

First off...
You come off as a fucking clown when you ask about a physical regiment..
A regiment is a military unit composed of a few battalions. The Army and Marines use brigades in lieu of regiments now. I think you meant regimen. You need to get a better grasp of the English languish.....and nobody gives a shit if your a Div I athlete.
edit: nothing personal......just tuff luv

Div I athletes probably don't know how to spell language, so you're good there. Your vs You're...it's all good.

Tougher luv.

Yes you are right div 1 athletes do not know how to spell language...A hole..

Hey man, I was a Div 1 athlete as well and I was by far the most in shape person in my class.
Physical fitness wise, you have nothing to worry about. It is the mental side that will get ya. However, as a D1 athlete, you are mentally tough as well.

Don't even worry about it, you will do fine.

The Marine Corps uses regiments (actually the Army does as well, it's just that when they combine non-homogeneous battalions they call it a Brigade Combat Team, whereas Marines call it a Regimental Combat Team).

Thanks for the tough love!!! I really do feel like a retard right now, especially since I cannot edit the title, but whatever. Anyways, thanks for the insight so far! I will make sure I learn the difference between regimen and regiment in my college remedial classes ;)

Since this guy has a good sense of humor he is already set for the hardest part of OCS...the rest will be cake.

I went there out of shape, and it sucked, but I laughed at myself and made it through...

That being said, I wouldn't claim "Div I athlete" just because you play badminton for USC...just sayin'...

Thanks guys, by the way, I play basketball. I was not trying to sound like a tool when I mentioned that I play Div I sports, I was just trying to give you guys a sense of what kind of shape I was in (or supposed to be in).

Can anyone tell me whats the most miles they ran at one time? I run often, but I hate running with a passion (kind of ironic since basketball involves a lot of running).

At one time? at a constant pace? For me it has only been the mile and a half run for a mock PFT, but in one PT session, I ran 5 miles (all sprinting exercises) on the same day as running the mile for gym class. But to tell you the truth, for someone who never in their life dreamed of running that far, it wasnt that bad. And im sure your in much better shape then i am, so all i can say if find a way to get motivated, I call mine a Petty Officer who likes to yell at recruits.
