Uniform guide

I searched through google to try and find a decent uniform guide, but I didn't find anything. Can any of you recomend a decent website that outlines the garments/accessories for each current, modern USMC uniform?

I'm trying to piece together Dress Deltas for my PTAD, and I know I am missing some pieces.

cammies are a no-brainer, but I need some reference for the other uniforms.

Go pick up a little book called "Look Sharp" from some qtown store or the exchange. Has everything you and pictures to explain it.

The actual USMC uniform manual is online at usmc.mil under "Orders and Directives." Not pocket-sized, but gives the real scoop for detailed questions.

WHich one? I didn't see any links that were specifically useful to me.

As for "Look Sharp"....

I went to Q town today. Every store that had heard of this book didn't carry it, and every store that should have carried it, had never heard of it.

I just bought some off-the-wall uniform guide off of amazon.com. It won't arrive at my house for several days though.

I just have a couple quick (and dire) questions about our Dress "D" uniform.

If constists of:

-white cover (forgot what it's called)
-Khaki shirt (short or long sleeved? Isn't the long sleeved shirt considered Dress "C"?)
-Blue & red Trousers
-Black corfam shoes.

Every Marine I have ever seen has a crisp, straight shirt. Mine always ends up wrinkly and ****ty after I wear it for a few minutes. Do they have some kind of tether on the shirt that attaches to their socks or something?

They are called shirt stays, and yes that is what they use...you should be able to find them at the exchange on either base...

As for "Look Sharp", you should be able to find it on base at the uniform shop...

Everyone saying "read the manual" is right and all, but that's not all that practical for day to day stuff. I read the manual if I have a particular question, but reference my little "Look Sharp" book just about every time I have to setup my blues or alphas or something I haven't worn in awhile. "Look Sharp" has something the manual is lacking that makes it more user friendly.... PICTURES. Otherwise, ya, it's the final authority and a good reference.
