Up to how many designators can you apply at every application?

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody know up to how many designators you can apply for every time an OCS application is submitted. OPNAV 1420.1B provides space for up to 3 designators but I read it in different places that you can apply for more and I was wondering if this was official and if this is the case how do you do it on the application. Thank you in advance.

They have allowed enlisted to apply for up to 5, but RUFi0181 has posted that NRC recently said that only the top one or two preferences would really be considered, if you search for his post you can find it, another person here was told by their OR that only the first preference would be looked at seriously.

It's a shame there isn't an option for 1st/2nd choice, and then "Anywhere the Navy thinks I might be a good fit". Not everyone would select that third one…I understand that. But some might...

You get 5. Some communities will pro x you if they are not in the number 1 slot (SWO). It depends on how many slots in those communities are available this fiscal year. Pilot and NFo are they easiest jobs to get right now. In a yeAr or two that will change....
