URLO ISPP routing process?

Howdy folks!

Hopefully one of my final posts in here before I actually route my URLO ISPP package for SNA.

I was curious about how the routing process actually works. The Program Authorization states:
- Submit package to Commanding Officer for recommendation
- Commanding Officer forwards package to their First Flag Officer for endorsement/nomination
- Flag Officer forwards endorsement/nomination to NRC

Final interview is in 10 minutes and I'm ready to route the package right after that. If my CO recommends and the First Flag nominates, am I receiving the package back to submit to the OCS submissions email myself with all of my medical documentation?

Also, is the Jan 16 URL SNA "Fleet" submission date the deadline for me to submit to the OCS submissions, or is the NRC date which is later? Thanks in advance!

Have you asked your command admin on the URLO ISPP routing process?

A lot of your other questions can be answered by your CCC.

I have, yes. They have not had an URLO ISPP package routed through them and are not sure how it works. My command is run by an OIC but the package will be sent to the overarching CO. The only "real" CCC we have is at the squadron and they also haven't dealt with URLO ISPP packages before
 
Unfortunately it isn't uncommon for CCC to not be really helpful with officer programs, it does seem like you have done pretty good so far. I would get everything together and email the fleet OCS processor Paul Celestine and ask him how he wants the information sent to minimize the back and forth with NRC.
 
Paul will definitely provide guidance. From my experience, I routed the package through my command and then they pushed it up to the flag. The flag, sent his recommendation back and then I submitted the whole package myself. I rather get everything back and send it off myself than leaving it to anyone else. Everyone’s busy and/or makes mistakes and I rather I be the one that does. Plus, no one needs to see my medical paperwork besides the need to know etc. nothing to hide but still it’s my privacy and my chain and above doesn’t need to see that. Some one always get curious.
