Can someone please tell me what the "Officer's Ball" to be held this Saturday at the Museum will entail? I assumed that it would have dinner, etc. like every Marine Corps Ball I have ever been to, but my buddy is saying that that isn't the case. Anybody know what the deal is?

No dinner. Just social hour, the ceremony, a uniform pageant, and individual actions as required.
A group of Lts from the pool is having dinner somewhere. Tickets are $30 each. I can't see paying $60 for dinner plus $50 for the ceremony, so I'm going by myself...and skipping dinner.

Not sure if it is different dependant on rank but we were only charged $25 per ticket...like was stated, no dinner. Just social hour then ceremony. The information has been around the command for a while now...

The $30 Crowbar is talking about is for the dinner the Lts are trying to put together.

The ball itself cost $25 per person. You get a mug and a coin. There will be light horsdeurves at the ball (finger sandwiches, cheese and crackers, fruit). The important thing is that there will be 11 bars available. There will be tables reserved for each unit on the flight deck.

No host Cocktail hour from 1900 to 2100. Pageant/Ceremony from 2100-2200 and dancing/music/drinking from 2200 to 0030.
