USMC, Navy, CG together?

I was looking through all the old posts I could find on the subject but could not really find a definit answer for this. USMC, Navy, and CG all co through flight training together, right? At what point do they actually split off and start training with only their own branch? Also, i read that sometimes AF student aviators will go though a certain amount of training with the Navy. Why is this? Thanks

Navy and Marines can stay integrated all the way up through the RAG in some cases (Prowler, Hornet).

Usually up to and including getting winged (undergraduate pilot training). With the exceptions mentioned above, you will generally see your first service specific training squadron when you do type training. FOr USN/USMC it's their mission and aircraft specific Fleet Replacement Squadron, for Coasties it's often type training in their fleet aircraft down at teh aviation training centre in Mobile, Ala.
Another exception - I think Coasties do C-13o training with the AF (as I believe marines do as well)

Others will likely chime in and this and give you better gouge.

I meant type specific training for C-130 - e.g. FRS level. I believe Marines do it with the AF in Little Rock or some other god awful rock garden. :)

130's train with the Navy and Air Force at Corpus through winging and (understand that the process is changing and I imagine is not concrete yet) those going Legacy (read Oki or to the Reserve sqd's) will go to Little Rock for the Air Force's phase 1 training and then complete the Marine FRS at their command. Those going to the J model are either going to Little Rock to complete the Air Force's program or to Cherry Point to the ATU there before going on to their command (Cherry Point/Miramar).

That is the last info I had before the RAG closed in Sept. Check with the couple of other Herc guys that are about.
