Waiting for Aviation Package Results

My aviation guarantee package was submitted in October of 2005. The only word we have received (from MCRC) was that they didn't need anything else from me, I have no waivers so that should make it easy. The last I heard it was awaiting BUMED approval. How long does this take? I do have a year til graduation, but it would be nice to know if the package has been approved. How long did some of you have to wait to hear back? I guess I'm only speaking to current Marine SNA's or aviators. Thanks.

I was selected for OCC 193, air. I submitted my package in March and heard the word in May, IIRC. Have you talked to your OSO about it?

What do you need BUMED for? That's probably what's holding it up. The VA doc here cleared me for Active Duty (I was on NOE after NPQ'ing out of the summer session 2005) in September of 2005, I didn't get the go-ahead from BUMED until March, just barely made the April board.

If you're applying for OCC, the next board doesn't meet until August (for the October class, also preselects for January).

He is applying for the NROTC (Marine Option) aviation guarantee as he is a MECEP student. Sorry I can't answer your question MarineSSgt as I am PLC, but just thought I would clarify that for everyone else.

Nevermind. I'll just keep waiting, I'm quite used to waiting on bureaucratic processes by now, they're not going to go away.
