Website with application information

I just put together a new website to help those that are currently in the process of applying. You can find some application materials as well as other helpful information. Any comments are greatly appreciated to make the site more user friendly.

The site looks great, the only suggestions I have are to make it clear that it's not an official Navy site, and to maybe make mention of the other sources of commission.

Yeah and I would credit the sources of the gouge. (ie the Marine gouge, ASTB charts etc etc.) or just post links where they are based..if you did this already and I'm just not tracking, my bad.

Looks great though and it consolidates all the loose information out there into one site.

From the Naval Aviation Officer section:

POSITIVES:

Navy always produces the most and the best pilots out of any military branch.
Very relaxed work environment and congenial atmosphere.
Best golf game in the fleet (always have free time to play).

I'm having trouble taking your website seriously based on these comments and I would not pitch Naval Aviation to civilians this way.

Does the Navy really have the most pilots? I thought the Army had some ungodly number of Helo pilots.

I would describe Naval Aviation as seeking "function over formality" rather than being a "very relaxed" work environment.

The golf stuff... seriously?

And just as a CYA measure, your profile says you are a Navy Officer Recruiter. If it were me, I would want to route anything I published through my command if it dealt with unit business.

Great comments from all. My apologies if I offended any aviators. I will update the info to ensure professionalism as well as purge the site to have accurate info.

I will also make sure all references are properly annotated for acquired information.

Thanks guys.

You site looks pretty good. Some additional commnets:

1. Most of your info is to the right. Move your frames over to allow users to see the main content. Not the Menu & Picture.
2. The Supply picture is very pixelated. Find something better.

Nice site, with regards to the comments above about the "best golf game" and others. Most of us "wannabe's" get those jokes and chuckle at them and I'm sure others would as well. Perhaps you could make a section on the site titled "the lighter side" so people know you're intention with the comments. Nice work though! :D

Good Site- I would add something about the timeline of everything and what needs to be done, in the order it should be done, before an official package can be submitted. If I hadn't had tons of pilots and navy personnel to talk too, I would have been lost since my recruiter always seems busy.

A timeline has been added. A lot of other comments were taken into consideration and adjustments made. Thanks to everyone on this forum for helping make this a useful tool for applicants.

Nevermind I´m an idiot. Just saw the warning that it doesn´t work with Firefox. You should probably put that message at the top of the page. It´s easy to miss near the bottom.
