Weekends off?

After a certain amount of time at OCS do you get the weekens off? I have an Apt in Pensacola and if I have weekends off, I'll keep through OCS.

Thank you for any help.

Once your class EARNS liberty than you will have weekends off. The first opportunity for my class was week four. We did not make par during the RLP so we then had to wait until week 6 before we could and did earn liberty.

I don't know what is happening now with all the changed that have happened during OCS.

You won't get the entire weekend off. You will only be secured from about 1200-1300ish on Saturday until 1600 on Sunday, basically just Saturday night. Many people in my class stuck around because of inspections, tests, etc on that coming monday.

We would also get liberty on Friday nights from 1800 or so until PT the next morning. Of course, no one stayed out late because of the morning PT, especially because Saturday's were the longest runs. Are Friday nights off no longer the case?

You get friday's off just like a normal workday like tuesday. Which mean if your class is good then you could go on libo from 1830 till 0100, but as I said before, you wouldn't go out for more than just a bite to eat because you had PT/other stuff the next morning.
