Actually, both Socrates and Aristotle seem to have a "christian" theme in their works, despite being pagans.
I'm not understanding this. I'm not exactly a scholar, but I don't remember Aristotle saying anything about immaculate conception of a demi-god or how faith >> reason. Quite the opposite really.

It has nothing to do with outright mentioning such things. Rather, the general theme, concepts and basis for and in his works. My brain is currently on overload with the ancient philosophers; I have to reread and read all their works for a finals exam so I apologize if I wasn't specific enough. :)

As I read between the lines I gather you are a Marine who is currently in an academic environment. Please tell me you write your papers with a crayon.

Not to distract from this delightful thread drift. But, I just finished The Coldest Winter by David Halberstam. Fantastic account of the forgotten war, Korea. Also a good reminder of what a monumental asshole Douglas Macarthur was (and how he's culpable for many, many KIA during that war).
