What happens to spouse when sent to OCS and beyond?

Hello everybody..

I am active duty and stay in government affiliated housing (Belfour Beaty). My wife currently goes to nursing school in Key West and i am hopefully leaving for OCS soon. How will it work when i am in OCS and then P-Cola when it comes to BAH? Will my wife be able to stay in Key West to finish the nursing program?

You can geo-bach while in P'cola, and also (I'm pretty sure) while at OCS. You're still active-duty while at Newport, so I can't imagine it'd be an issue. Talk to your local PSD; I'm sure you're not the first prior to go off to OCS and leave a spouse in base housing.

I'm would assume that you wouldn't even be authorized to take your wife to OCS with you... I could be wrong though

OCS was unaccompanied TAD when i went in 2001. Had a roommate in your situation, she stayed in the base housing until he PCSd after Crypto school.
