When are boards held and how often?

I only ask this question because I am fighting an age cut off(just turned 30 last week). Only one of the programs I want has a concern, the others I am applying for are good. I want SWO, Intel, and Nuke. I am currently enlisted so the ages vary just a tad. I have until I am 33 for SWO(according to a LT at NRD Richmond), Intel is 35, and Nuke is 29 according to the manual but the LT also thinks this is/can be extended a bit for current enlisted especially since I am currently a Nuke as well.

That's why I was wondering how often boards conviened. I wrapped up my 3 Officer boards about an hour ago. They said I impressed them and would love to have me in the Wardroom with them(I hope this translates to really good review sheets and recommendations:D). If there is no wat to go Nuke then I will probably substitute with Supply.

I have my ASTB scheduled finally for the 30APR and my physical will be completed on the 15APR. My transcripts and grade point average letter should be here with in the week. If all goes well(my command does thier job speedily) I hope to have it mailed off the first week of May. I am in a crunch because my EAOS is 15OCT. I undrestand I will need to extend, but I only want to do so if I get selected. Oh well nothing to do but study now. I hope someone can fill me in. Thanks ahead of time.

I believe the board is held around the 15th of each month. So if you get everything squared away, you could probably be up for the May board. Also your package needs to be there 2 weeks prior, but that's just what my recruiter said.

Age limit for SWO is 29 and 31 if prior enlisted (You must be commissioned on or before age 31). Intel is 45. Nuke is not really a designator rather it is a special program in SWO community. Check out the OPNAVINST 1420.1A
