When are the S-3's going away?

Hey all,

Just curious, how much longer does the Navy plan on keeping the S-3's around? It seems to me that they are a fairly important platform with no replacement....Anyone know how much longer theyre gonna train people to fly the S-3's?

PS I spent a week this summer with VS-41 on North Island, those guys are awesome!! Flying in the S-3 was the ride of my life!

Don't quote me but I believe the last squadron to be retired will be in 2008. The first two to be retired will be this year.
