When do they start asking you to recite gouge?

Future SWO?

Final Select SWO 1/25 OCS date 6/14/08
For anyone who has been to OCS, how soon after to arrived did you need to have the Big 4 (and more) ready to go? Is it day 1 material that they use to see how prepared you are, or do they not ask you to recite this stuff until later? I plan on being squared away, but I'm asking more out of curosity than anything else!

The first time is RLP, which is Thursday of week 4. You maybe asked before, but RLP is the first time you can fail (well, lose points and get closer to failing). Trust me, memorize everything now because you're going to want to have your mind on other things. Make sure you have E-5 to E-9 down cold for USN and USMC.

Yup what he said. If you know it before you get there you will save yourself a lot of time and stress. I reviewed my stuff once a week or so but for the most part didn't have to worry about it.

Again, like above make sure you are cold on the ranks. Also have your reporting statements memorized.

First friday is outpost and you need to know it then. Can't fail, but don't know anything and you'll feel the suck and attention a WHOLE lot more. (yes, I knew my stuff)
