This whole article was revolting, but that quote just told me all I need to know about the Democratic Party. It doesn't matter how relatively moderate you are... you'll still quietly accept the support of crazy, ultra-left wing "the military is the Gestapo" freaks. Newsflash, McGovern-- you lost by the largest margin in history in '72 while opposing the most unpopular war in history.
And before someone says "The GOP does it too!", I'd love to see a Democrat candidate come down on their extremists the way McCain came down on Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell and the rest of the ring-wing loonies.
