Hello to all,
I recently came across a video where two TACAIR NFOs were being interviewed about their aircraft and what their job was on the aircraft they flew. Needless to say I became really intrigued and interested in the career after watching this particular video and from subsequent research about the NFO career.
My questions or any one willing to answer in this thread:
1.) Why did you want to become an NFO?
2.) For those currently still in the career path that have not yet reached their service requirement, what do you guys think of the job?
3.) For those that are past their service obligation, served an entire 20 year career, etc, what was it about the job that made you want to make it a 20 year career.
I am asking these questions because as someone who has wanted to be a pilot for the past 10 years nearly of my life, I have only now discovered how badass the job of an NFO sounds, and would put it on the same level of interest, if not higher as becoming a pilot.
Thanks in advance!
