Yeah, it's going to get struck down (again) as a violation of the first amendment. Lying for financial gain is already covered under fraud statutes.

This is the key. We really don't need MORE laws...We suck at enforcing the ones already on the books. Plus-The folks who find them out usually have far better ways of dealing with them than jail....

Even worse than the satirical portions inserted in the bill, is proposing $7 Billion for an agency that has yet to actually STOP anything. Let's see, since the TSA... Shoe bomber? Check. Underwear bomber? Check. Plus reports that they miss suspicious items 60-75% of the time. That's not missing 60-75% of people wearing shoes through the screening process, or missing 60-75% of the people that are carrying a bottle of water through security. That's missing 60-75% of "simulated explosives and bomb parts."

Throw in an occasional borderline unlawful investigation, a little theft, maybe some sexual assault thrown in the mix. Add in that the creator of the TSA thinks it needs to be disbanded...

But hey, let's throw $7B at them next year... Good money after bad if you ask me.

Since both originated overseas it would have been pretty hard for TSA to do anything when they weren't there to begin with. Not really defending TSA, just the facts.......

Good point, it did originate from overseas. But that does not lessen the other facts that were already presented in my "rhetorical device".
