Reaching back into the fog of memory, I don't think I informed anyone beforehand, but was surprised at those who told me they had been contacted who had not been listed by me.

I can't remember how many times I'd come back from a flight as an IP and someone would be waiting for me investigating a student in Advanced. I think a lot of the time, they weren't even my on-wings, just someone I flew with a couple of times and I guess I was deemed a non-asshole.

Just hope you don't get the lady that did @webmaster's last investigation. She was very "special."

Spent the whole investigation trying to understand the whole “interwebs” thing. What’s an online forum? Over and over again. It’s like the worst visit to your grandparents and you get cornered for tech support asking the same thing over and over. She just did not understand anything. But by god she was going to get to the bottom of what this website Airwarriors was!!!

But.

I had some small solace that a select group of friends I was able to share the experience with!

We have a flying club member that is a former FED leo and now as a retirement gig does contract Secret and TS SSBI for DCSA. He has hilarious stories - net net the people doing the work have seen it all. The things that I thought are red-lines aren't but not being forthright about your Hong Kong bank account with 6 figure $ in it, and no way to explain it - well that's not good. A couple of DUI's and a credit card that's maxed out by your crazy ex wife though - no problem!
