Vaguely remembering similar thoughts in Cubi Point...really looks like he’s evaluating the poor choices he made last night
Don't feel bad."why do we still not have a T-45 replacement?” comes up for seemingly the billionth time this year.
Or an MV-22 replacement, sheesh!“why do we still not have a T-45 replacement?”
What is the mishap rate, and how does that compare to other RW and FW platforms? Without that, a recitation of mishaps going back 30 years provides zero useful information. You, of all people, should understand this.Or an MV-22 replacement, sheesh!
I wish I had gotten on the receiving end of that gravy train. (yes, that is sarcasm)
1983 $10.3 billion for 167 A/C.
1992 1st fatal Class A during pre-production development.
2000 $3 billion over budget and eight years behind schedule, and 26 fatalities.
2000-2013 Addl. 8 struck A/C and 10 fatalities.
2013 $6.4 billion for 200 A/C.
Addl. 8 struck A/C and 22 fatalities.
If I'm slightly off with the stats, you still get the picture.
I’ll save you the trouble. We’ve already done that drill for this aircraft on this site. You won’t find that smoking gun you’re looking for.@Brett327 you are correct. So I'll do some more data mining and report back.
This will be difficult without actual NavSafCen access, as I'll have to depend on various publicly reported articles.
I do know that in 2022, the Marine Corps Class A rate for the MV-22 was 3.61, compared with the Class A rate for the -60 of 0.87 in the same year.
Then again, I could just defer to this "excellent" (yes sarcasm again) Guidebook published by the Marines. So pretty, lots of colors, and "setting the record straight" with selective filtered data. Makes me wonder how much was spent to create that publication. And does anyone have a link to a current MV-22 guidebook? This one is 12 yrs old.
Thank you for letting me know what I'm "looking for."You won’t find that smoking gun you’re looking for.
I know exactly what you’re looking for because I told you what the standard method of statistical comparison is. It isn’t complicated, and like I said, we’ve been down this exact same path here. In any case, I acknowledge your deference.Thank you for letting me know what I'm "looking for."
I'm obviously not capable of forming my own thoughts and considerations.
I defer to your "truths" and save myself any further research and possible learning opportunities.
