Good on you! When I got lost on that PA solo, I did NOT do a very good job of making sure I stayed in my working area and ended up in one of Elgin’s MOAs.
IIRC, it was "wheeee!....OK, fuck let's not do that again". Then a hyper-focus on PEL and HAPL/LAPL procedures. 😄

Yeah, well, I was the opposite and couldn’t get enough “wheeee!” time…so I was doing all sorts of ridiculous aerobatics over and over…so much so that something banged something on the comm panel and I was lost comm for a while…went too heads down for too long doing trouble shooting and that’s how I ended up in one of Eglin’s MOAs.

From what I remember Corpus course rules were way simpler than Whiting...so don't beat yourself over the head...7600 on your PA solo would be epic though.

Somewhat similar, I decided to push over and unload the plane. I’m like ‘wheee, I’m floating’ and then I watched my PCL float past my head and land somewhere in the rear cockpit.

I'll be honest. On my T-34C initial solo I slid the canopy open and pretended I was a WWII fighter pilot for a couple of minutes while I was in the working area. My retirement is approved for July 1 and I don't fly military airplanes anymore, so I'm pretty sure I can own up to that one. :D

I wore my 02 mask my entire PA solo - out of curiosity in case I got jets. I believe I forgot the dilute switch and drained the bottle.
