Mental Health Waivers

Howdy, I'm in the enlistment process for the navy for Aircrew right now, but ran into an issue. So about 8 months ago I had an interrupted suicide attempt. All that means was that I started to take action towards it and then stopped, but because I took action it's classified as an attempt. I was hospitalized for a week and that was followed by 108 hours of intensive therapy over the course of 12 weeks. The strange thing was that I did not get diagnosed with any condition and I wasn't prescribed a single medication. I'm going to MEPS next week, and my recruiter told me that they'll disqualify me there, but that he could easily get a waiver for it. I know better than to just take a recruiter's word and wanted to get some insight from others who may have gone through similar things or know about them. Thanks guys

Welcome to the forum. Suggest you google/browse the NAMI guide for Aircrew as well as look up MANMED CH-15 for basic Navy entry requirements.
