I haven’t seen Severance mentioned here. Anyone enjoying the hell out of that? Anytime I’m at the piano, I can’t help but play the theme song. Even the music is severed/binary.

The first episode of Severence just didn't grab me so I didn't continue with it. I don't have ATV anymore and I haven't cared enough to download it to try again.

I watched the first episode of Turn (or Turn: Washington's Spies) and enjoyed it. I'm hoping to continue that one today at work. Beyond it being interesting, it's also a great reminder on why the Bill of Rights was written the way it was.

We’re watching it- I’d put it as mid-tier in the stack for us. Some episodes grab my attention, some don’t. Definitely interesting/weird though, and the ambiance is well done.

From 1977, “A Bridge Too Far” based upon Operation Market Garden, the attacks behind German lines in WW2. Quite the cast: Sean Connery, Gene Hackman, Michael Caine, Robert Redford.

I flew back to Australia recently and watched it on the plane. Some of the scenes don't hold up too well (e.g. the bridge one), and Gene Hackman's Polish accent was... something, but overall a great watch. Shame on me for taking so long to get around to watching it!

I also watched The Anthropoid -- about the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich -- which I thought was great.

Not Netflix, but coming on 4/11 as a theatrical release is Warfare.

Early reviews are excellent.
I went to see Warfare last weekend in IMAX with Mrs Fester. Holy crap. Imagine the sheer intensity and authenticity of the Omaha Beach sequence of Saving Private Ryan, but lasting almost the entire runtime of the movie. Very hard to watch, and that was obviously the point. You really need to see this one on as big a screen as your wallet allows.

I saw Warfare earlier this week and can confirm it is excellent.

I've been watching When No One Sees Us, on HBO Max. It's quite a good show, and is set on/around Morón Air Base in Spain.

Finally got around to watching “Ted Lasso” - it was as good as advertised (rumors about a 4th season?)

And if anyone is looking for an entertaining series, “House, MD” with Hugh Laurie from the late 2000’s is quite good.

Just watched this on Prime. I'd say it fits in the 'so bad it's good category', though it does have some nice shots of helicopters flying around.

The overacting in the simulator scene alone is worth the price of admission.

I'm not sure how other aircraft simulators are, but here's how I envision certain elements of a movie script would look like if depicting a Romeo sim:

ATO: Okay, switching to FLIR to ID the target...that's a sail boat. It's not one of our COIs.
ZULU: That's supposed to be a Boghammer. Hold on a minute.

---

ATO: Any contact on POINTER 12?
SO: Whoa, PD detect.

SO slews FLIR over to contact and sees submarine hovering 1 foot above the water.

SO: CERTSUB!
ZULU: Damn it. I said change depth, not surface.

---

ATO: Okay, ready for attack run. Pitch up <x> degrees at 4,000 meters. You should have your needles.

Pilot begins pitching up for APK run. FLIR immediately starts spinning in circles like R2D2 after he's been shot in Episode IV. There is no hope of reacquiring the target on this run.
