OCS 11AUG25 IWC BOARD // Nerd Thunderdome 2025

The last time the IWC board results took this long, the thread ended up being 56 pages. I'd say we're doing pretty good!

My recruiter has page notifications set-up for the results. I'm just hoping to hear by Christmas (or Halloween) [or Monday 😩]
It's kinda "interesting" that when I submitted my package this Feb, my OR told me if I get selected I will be shipping by this July.
I don't blame him, since he was doing his best to help me.
My MEPS medical is expiring in a couple of weeks so I guess I'm gonna have to gather my medical docs again.
I just hope the waiver Admiral Waters approved gets approved again :/ No changes in condition so far and it was the only one waiver I had.

I had a guaranteed option for the Army National Guard with an OCS contract but I wanted to go active and had to break someone's heart. Sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice LOL. In terms of serving, it would still count but I just wanted to go for a full-time service.

Anyway, hang in there everybody!

My husband goes into his 4th order window at the end of Oct and I said well maybe THIS time we will actually know. I’ve said it every other time and it hasn’t happened yet. It’s bound to happen eventually though, right?? maybe I’m the one jinxing us all 🙃😂

I wish I was simply in the “waiting on results” camp right now. Instead, I don’t even know if my package was actually considered for the AUG 11 board.
  • Took the OAR on March 25.
  • Submitted the first batch of documents on April 16.
  • OR didn’t open them for weeks, didn’t answer calls. By the time he looked, documents had already expired.
  • Had to resubmit everything on May 2.
  • MEPS appointment on May 23 — but OR never gave me the form for my prior LASIK. MEPS couldn’t clear me. OR’s response: “never heard of it before.” So I had to chase down and submit a bunch of additional medical paperwork.
  • OR confirmed all waivers were approved on June 17. After that? Radio silen ce until July 3, when he suddenly asked for another form. I turned it around same day.
  • Then silence again. Weeks later, I physically go to the recruiting station. They tell me he didn’t submit my package until July 17 — six days after the July 11 deadline.
So now the story is: “We’ll only know if you were actually considered once results are out. If you’re not listed as a yes or no, then you weren’t considered.”

Meanwhile, turns out my OR was reassigned to another unit in a different city without ever mentioning it.

Anywho… whole thing has been a total shitshow.

I took the OAR last August and went to MEPS in December :(
Since then I have had 3 different ORs, graduated college, and lived in 3 different states.
Yeah took OAR in January, again in June, have had two ORs, graduated from college, and moved to another state. Long process! Lol

@exNavyOffRec Is there a 'last possible results day'? The tail end of the 8 weeks usual time is October 6th, 2025. What's the longest time you've heard results getting back by? The longest I've seen on here is 67 days for the 7NOV22 IWC Board

I mean, if cramming a year-long backlog of Intel applicants into this board and the litany of PA changes were indicative as prologue, I wouldn’t be surprised if this IWC board generally shapes up to be anything but “usual.”

That said, the official turnaround timeline for board results (last I heard) was still 2-10 weeks - putting a mid-October release well within bounds. Hope y’all still have costume and party plans… 🎃

That is an awful experience, communication is key in the military both up and down and side to side. The smart recruiters want to get an application done and out of their hands so they aren't juggling multiple candidates in the same stages.

What rank was this recruiter.
