1,001 questions about the ASTB (post your scores & ask your questions here!)

My package got submitted November 23rd and heard back January 8th. I was feeling the exact same way and my mom was asking me every day if I’d heard back lol. Hopefully you get word soon!
Thanks for the hopeful news. I’m itching for the results.. it’s been over two months and this life-changing decision is staring me down every day hahah

NFO as well? I'm coming up on 6 weeks of waiting for my Iselect NFO package. It's driving me crazy.

For my situational awareness what does it mean on the board schedule “to pick FY2027 (6/6)”? I am going to submit by the 17th of April deadline for active duty for the June 1st convene date.

In general that means this is the 6th board of the current FY, which still counts cancelled boards. In a perfect world that would also be the board they would start filling FY 27 spots, but that isn't the case if you look back on when people are saying they are leaving for OCS, NRC has already been filling those spots.

Warriors,

Thank you again for all the support, feedback, reviews, and bug reports. It truly helps a lot and keeps me motivated to keep improving. After a lot of work, the newest updates for ASTB Prep are now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

What changed:
- ASTB PREP is now free to download on all three platforms.
- Existing customers keep Full Access automatically. If you previously purchased the app, sign in (or create an account), and you should have full access.
- New users can start with the free content, then unlock Full Access with the one-time in-app purchase when ready.
- This now allows your progress to sync across iOS, macOS, and Android under one account.
- Full ASTB mode is available on the macOS version.
- The Rear Cockpit (RC) Simulator now has a "Full" training mode, where you can go through all the RC Simulator subsections more realistically, like the actual exam.

Troubleshooting:
- If anything looks off with the account linking, restore purchase, or access state, message me and I will jump on it. Please message me through the application or the email: eagleedgead@gmail.com

Coming Soon:
- The Windows version is on the way and will be released soon. I’ll update you as soon as it’s available.
- More Joystick automapping functionality (X56 Rhino HOTAS, More Thrustmaster Joystick Variants)
- Improved Lessons and Test Questions for the Syllabus and Academic Tests.
- Flashcard Improvements

Thank you all again for the support. For those of you who use the app, thank you for putting your trust in me. Your support means a lot, and the opportunity to serve you has been amazing.

The 🐐. The app helped a lot to get me to where I am now

Hey everyone, about to do my third retake here soon shooting for ISEL scores. Does anyone know if it is better to skip questions that you may not know? Or is it better to guess. Not sure if it punishes you more for getting a question wrong since it is an aptitude test. The last two attempts I have been guessing, but does anyone know.

I’m like 99% sure you can’t skip questions at all. That said, I would say it’s more beneficial to use your time to try and get the correct answer rather than guessing. Unanswered questions are likely better than incorrect answers. Just my 2 cents.

You cannot “skip” questions, and you also cannot go back and change answers on the ASTB.

Stay focused, try and reduce answers to 2 possibilities, and don’t let a difficult question derail you.

See my profile for the study guides I almost solely used to get my 69/9/9/9

If you genuinely have no clue. Make an educated guess and move on. Definitely prioritize a correct answer over saving time. Odds are you will get kicked into the next section before you even finish all the questions.
