Need FFL in Corpus

Moving to Corpus. Due to existing circumstances, I will not be able to take my guns with me, but will have to get them shipped in a couple weeks. (tied up due to divorce proceedings)

Anyone have a good FFL that has reasonable rates for transfers? I got one on this end that is cutting me a good deal due to being a repeat customer, and a very military friendly shop.

I need to ship:

4 rifles
1 shotgun
1 pistol

there is one right next to the Hooters, on SPID it's a knife shop. Very Military friendly, about $25 for the x-fer.

Well, do not know the whole 9 yards of your circumstance but as I understand the law, you can drop off your gun to your gunsmith for ""repairs"", and said same FFL holder can return it directly to you via UPS/FEDEX etc. I have, several times, taken a firearm(s) to my smitty in Florida and he packages it back to me in Maryland via FEDEX. The big plus is that he uses regular FEDEX service, not Overnite that an owner would have to use.

Further, the Sheriff of Escambia County returned a couple of stolen firearm directly back to me using UPS. Goose and gander come to mind.

Having said all that :icon_smil :icon_smil I am not absolutely sure
my smitty does not violate the law, but for what it is worth.

You might be talking about "Texas Gun Shop" which is across the SPID from Hooter's, It's right next to the Verizon wireless store. The guys in there are cool and I know one person who used them to have a Ka-98 shipped to. Here is their information:

Texas Gun Shop Inc
4518 S Padre Island Dr
Corpus Christi, TX 78411
(361) 854-4424

Also, you could consider The Sharp Shooter. They run probably the nicest gun shop in the city. They have the only indoor range that I can think of. They have a website at www.thesharpshooter.com. I would go with one of those as they both run decent gun shops and are close to where you will probably be living anyways.

I don't doubt that Benny Hill is a nice guy but his shop is located in one of the worst parts of town. And it's not all that close either. I guess I'd give him a call anyways just to compare his costs to ship.

Chief,
Honestly don't know what the legality of what your gunsmith does either, but my local gunsmith offered to do the same thing when I move. They've been in business a very long time so I believe it would be legal, but never thought to check....

It wasn't Tx Gun Shop, it's on the other side of the SPID (same side as the Hooters). If you're facing the hooters there is a strip mall on your left, it's in that. They sell knives, Cigars, and Darts.
