I won an NFO spot here at TBS. I spent the past four years reading books on ground/manuever warfare. I am looking for some suggestions on Navy/Marine Corps Aviation. Both in General and specifically about NFO's. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Congratulations on being a "winner." ;) I'd start with "Punk's War" by Ward Carroll - former F-14 RIO. It's fiction, but it paints a pretty good picture of squadron life.

I'm readind Speed is Life, More is Better right now. Very entertaining. Try Hammer from Above, Marine Air Combat in Iraq. I loved that book.

Haven't read this one, but it's getting decent reviews on Amazon

+1 on that.
It has stories about each Marine aircraft in OIF. I like the short story format. Makes it easy to read one or two stories and not get lost if you don't get a chance to read it for a while. There is a hairy story in the front of the book about a pair of Harriers landing at sea, in a sand storm, at night, with only minutes of fuel on board. I read that story about once a week. :D Great book to leave next to the throne at home.

Yep just finished that one a few weeks ago. Interesting read, was cool that they also featured the Herk and Prowler guys not always in the spotlight as well.

Check out the book "Adak." True story about a P-3 deployment and flight that ended in less than desireable circumstances. Good overview of what a P-3 deployment is like.
