The question is: What other US Navy Ships have been named after a woman? I exclude the USS Roosevelt DDG-80 named in honour of Pres. Franklin D. and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.
I know that back in the OldNav, my Navy if you will, it was considered bad luck to have a woman aboard a US Navy ship, while underway, grounds for mutiny as I recall.
Also, all ships were referred to as "her" or "she", a really long standing tradition.
