Who honestly buys a used hearing aid anyways? That's too much like buying used underwear to me...

My dad has a 'used' hearing aid. The part you stick in your ear is custom moulded to each person, and the electronic amplification/bone induction portion can be swapped out between individuals. The technology has remained relatively stagnant for a few years, and given the ridiculous cost of new units, the guy could have reasonably scored a couple hundred a piece for them.

Never heard of receiving stolen property before? As far as I know, it's still a crime to buy/receive something that any reasonable person would conclude has been stolen.

Theft by receiving = buying a stereo out of the back of some dude's car

Not theft by receiving = buying a stereo that was stolen but then sold to a pawn shop, etc

The first, a normal person would think something shady is going on, the second, it's kind of hard to have a good idea whether or not it's hot.
