Pure sillyness (sic) ... I'm kinda confused what the purpose of the story was ... just to remind the public that 'black guns' are out there and the public should be concerned? Slow news day, might as well bash guns? After all, they are the root of our problems in the 'inner city', right?

Side note - If some guy was shooting at me, I would prefer him to be shooting from the hip vice putting it into his shoulder and actually aiming. Fools...

Scare tactics.
Other than the DC sniper case, how many shootings used AR15s as opposed to handguns. Even using the logic presented in the piece it doesn't make any sense.
 
Just remember, the color of a gun alone makes it bad. It would probably be ok if they were yellow rifles. Or better yet, safety orange.

Yup, I think it's time that we start retraining our soldiers and Marines. They're obviously ineffective firing from the shoulder.

Also...having a 30 round magazine...doesn't really matter. It's not the rounds in the magazine that matter, it's the one in the chamber. It's the first shot that counts.

Hmmm, NBC News tells me my AR is bad so it must be true. This is why I try to avoid interacting with the "general public". People who buy into this nonsense aren't worth arguing with.
 
What do you expect from them? These are the same people who couldn't get the fuel tanks on Ford pickup trucks to burst into flame when they were hit. They finally got the shot they wanted by using model rocket engines to ignite the gasoline.

Nice. Point well made w/ that one. Had completely forgotten about that little jewel. If only that could have been thrown in during the "story."
