I used to love wearing my aviation greens to work on the boat, if nothing else, just to annoy the shoes!

Umm, what's different/new about these?

I wish ... just my fantasy, alter-ego at work, perhaps .... I think that was the war I wanted to fly in .... if I couldn't be a cowboy.A4 -
That pic is awesome. Is that you?:tongue2_1
If old is new again, then perhaps the Army will go back to the Ike jacket.![]()
As for the E-dress whites....holy shit, is the intent to deliberately embarrass these guys? That uniform looks better suited for a gay pride march. Tradition or not, I think if the Navy polled its E-6 and below, they would indicate they want something other than what is pictured as their new dress uniform.
I agree, although having worn that getup makes me REALLY appreciate the uniforms I am currently wearing.![]()

On another note, I remember the time one of my shipmate's new bride starched and ironed his Class A Whites for a command inspection. He didn't take them off the hanger until he got to the hangar 15 minutes before muster time. She had ironed them right side out with fore and aft creases. Boy did he stand out...
Threadjack . . . why is the enlisted dress uniform ironed this way? Or is it just tradition?Ouch!!! (Sideways and inside out.)
