You just go to a site and sign up. As it stands, there is not a whole lot to stop you / recourse is typically nil.

Perhaps the servers for these sites are not in the US or Nevada or indian land or something? I don't remember it being illegal. Perhaps some loophole?

A lot of them are overseas. There are no state gaming regulators to ensure fair play, so be careful if you send them your money. Also you have to rely on their gaming software.

I play online, just don't bet real money.
