Well, the people that I'm still in class with have majors that vary from engineering to business to whatever. The major has no effect on your selection. Pick what you like.

Get a degree in whatever interests you. What would you major in if you if you knew you were going into the civilian world after college? You should do that. You're the one who's gonna be doing the work for 4+ years. You might as well have a passing interest in it.
The thing is I only want to fly! I dont want to do anything in this world but fly. So I was just asking because I will do whatever it take's to be an aviator. So that's why I'm asking what should I major in. You guys answerd my question, so thank's alot to everyone and I will be flying in the future (I will die if I dont fly) so thanks again, mike.

Back to the original subject:
I started my freshman year as undeclared/PoliSci, but I quickly found out it was a useless degree, not to mention not as interesting as I'd hoped... I am now a Geology major... If for one reason or another I do not beome an officer and an Aviator, I plan to go to Grad School and continue in the field in some capacity since I am a closet Astronaut wannabe... but that's so far ahead in the future right now I'm just glad I enjoy the work; walkin' around, middle o' nowhere pickin' up rocks, figuring out how they got there... sounds boring I know, but that's what I've come to love... Field Geology ROCKS!!
I'm an aeronautical science major, so anything is better than what I'm doing (in my opinion), but if I had to do it all over again I would go into finance with a focus on investing type stuff (stocks, derivatives, hedge funds, etc)
I would agree, especially if you've gotten a pilot slot. Waste of money IMHO. Sure you may do well in flight school because of your experience, but I know a few prior CFI/ERAU types who went P-3/Helo so it isn't a guarantee, and it's expensive as fvck.
I hear the Air Force is looking for UAV pilots pretty badly. Check it out!

anyway that's my $.02
Major in something that will be your plan B in case the whole flying thing doesn't work out.
ANYTHING?????The thing is I only want to fly! I dont want to do anything in this world but fly. So I was just asking because I will do whatever it take's to be an aviator.
Friend of mine, Harrier type, is taking a Marine UAV job in 29 Palms! Not just the AF anymore!I hear the Air Force is looking for UAV pilots pretty badly.
Personally, I majored in International Business...because...all the hot girls at my school were business majors. Important things to consider, wana-be.
