Does anyone know where to get white corframs? Do such things even exist? I can't find anything online.

Thanks.

Why would you want them (if they existed, which I'm not sure they do)? White shoes aren't supposed to be shiny.

You wear your white shoes so infrequently.... I dont think I even shined mine.... just took them out of the box and put them on.

Plus, after wearing them once the heel/sole gets all stained and impossible to make white again... and the white stuff starts flaking off the rubber and it's yellow underneath... Wouldn't be worth it to shine them. You'd be buying a new pair as soon as you got them looking nice.

Agree with gator. Don't waste your money on white 'frams. Just keep you white leathers clean w/ some polish on'em and they'll look fine.

Besides, I've seen a couple pairs of white 'frams... they started looking yellowish after a bit. Not good.

I guess you are right... I just wanted to look extra-nice for commissioning. My white shoes aren't in the best condition. Thanks for the advice.

Then pop and get new ones... you only get commissioned once.

Or you could just make sure the ones you have are white. No one, except you is going to remember what shoes you were wearing when you commissioned. Don't waste the money on something you're not going to wear much.

Not trying to call you out, but in case you don't know, it might be worth getting the white edge dressing. We use it here; it really makes your white shoes look like new again on the rubber sole portion.

Tried it... used it before my buddy's wedding... still came off relatively quickly. Maybe I'm just a much harder dancer than you guys. ;)

It's funny you mention that, in my original post, before I edited it out, I had that it wears out/flakes off much quicker than the black edge dressing! Still, I think it's a much better option than buying new shoes. Keeping a decent shine with an all around clean white shoe with the white edge dressing is alot cheaper than buying a new pair every so often. Some guys here even spraypaint their white shoes, and when done right, it actually looks real good believe it or not.

As someone who entered the Navy when all shoes were leather - and aviators wore brown shoes - I'd like to see an Islamic-style, public whip-lashing of the dude at DOD who dictated plastic shoes for the military (it was probably McNamara). The're hot, stink & look phoney. There, I'm glad I got that off my chest - feel better already.

White edge dressing is money for restoring shoes. Put a couple coats on and it should last for a bit (at least an evening). If it gets caked on or is flaking, run it under a sander for a bit and it'll be like new.

Don't they sell the white spray "shoe polish" anymore? I still have the same can from 10 years ago.

I've never seen it. My one roomate says not sold here; other one says if you go to the cobbler you can buy it there. I've not yet been to the cobbler.

Unless you're wearing Cousin Eddie's white patent leather loafers.
