@RUFiO181 I'm currently in a bit of a situation and am just curios who I should contact. I was told my FINSEL was at the program manager 3 weeks ago. My command has been hampering me about this whole process and they want me to pcs to another duty location to fill my billet. They are requesting to have my FINSEL by mid May at the latest. Who could I talk to about getting my FINSEL back quickly?

Since you are AD Army, you should contact your OR, but a FS letter just says when you are going and that could be a few months after the letter is rec'd

That's all that he requires, is just a date. I was in a similar situation, but my recruiter was a little more helpful, except I was on the verge of losing my conditional release if I left my brigade.

@NavyOffRec all I require is a date. Originally my command said I'd be jobless in August so I needed a date by then. Now it's I have to transfer. I understand my ship date is months after I get my letter but is there anyway I can contact someone to get the letter quickly. We can only have one PCS move every 3 years and I'm trying to avoid any issues with my transfer and conditional release. I don't want to have to get a new one routed through my new chain which will take a while. I don't want to jeopardize my potential school date.

I got my pro-rec in June and just got my FS papers 2 weeks ago.
I got my pro rec back in May, still no final select paperwork, but I also just graduated college; so their's that. I'm hoping and praying that I'll get a fin select a lot sooner since I was pro rec'd so long ago, but who knows. My name may just be getting added to the pile in the next few days once my transcripts make their way to the men and women in charge of distributing final selects (no idea how this is done). I imagine it's something like this. If someone here is in charge of that, please don't hate me:)

Did you just graduate in May 2015? And you got your PRO REC in May 2014? How? My recruiter told me they couldn't turn in the application until 6 months before graduation. Also I would assume you would be added to the pile since it was contingent on graduation and your GPA. But then again, I may be ignorant.

I was told I could apply 12 months prior to graduation, and that's exactly what I did. Was selected first board. :)
ROs are often misinformed. I'm not bashing them or anything, my RO is awesome, but he was brand new to that job and at times from the knowledge I've gained from researching this sight, I've felt more informed than him about the process. It always pays to get a second opinion. Another example, I failed my depth perception test at MEPS and as far as my RO knew I was SOL. I did a little research and figured out a way around it. GL dude.

From what Iv read,
You will have to wait until your final transcripts are sent in before they give you FINSEL, but I could be wrong
