Final Select Purgatory

I was told I could apply 12 months prior to graduation, and that's exactly what I did. Was selected first board. :)
ROs are often misinformed. I'm not bashing them or anything, my RO is awesome, but he was brand new to that job and at times from the knowledge I've gained from researching this sight, I've felt more informed than him about the process. It always pays to get a second opinion. Another example, I failed my depth perception test at MEPS and as far as my RO knew I was SOL. I did a little research and figured out a way around it. GL dude.

There was a window where there was a 12 month time, normally 6 months, I believe it went back to the 6 month limit a little while ago.

Good to know, my bad. Well good thing you cleared that up. I should put a disclaimer in my signature. "Trust, but verify."

Yeah, this week for some reason has been a lot more axiety and checking AW than the other weeks.

Anyway, anyone have a cool workout routine? Or even a nice diet plan they're using to get fit for OCS?

Iv basically just been running and lifting, I haven't really tried anything new or different.

Would love to push myself though.

I do crossfit and enjoy it. It is something new every day and I get a mix of cardio, gymnastics and strength training in each day. I definitely have to push myself every day to complete the work outs.

Still waiting for final select. In the meantime I was thinking about taking a few weeks to travel. My only concern is that if I get my letter while in a different part of the country than my OR is, then I would have to fly back to swear in. Does anyone know if I would simply be able to swear in at the nearest Navy office to wherever I am at that time?

Im also waiting on my Final select and plan on doing some traveling in Europe this July for about 2 weeks. I'm hoping I would receive my final select before then but im sure it wont be a problem. Now as far as swearing in at a other location, I really don't know if that is necessary. Guess it would depend on how long do you plan on being gone? I still haven't heard a word about an OCS date and have yet to be called for my background check.

I'm hoping to spend 4-5 weeks traveling, which leaves a pretty long window in which to potentially receive my final select. However, I'm not planning on leaving the country during that time, in case that would make a difference for swearing in from another location.
