Wasn't Johnson sworn in mid-flight back to DC. That would mean one more landing than take-off.
Yes, but the reason is that Nixon (departing the WH) was airborne when Ford was sworn in thus his flight went from Air Force 1 to Head in a Jar 1.

I’m kidding about that last part.

So wouldn't that mean the the combination of both events mean take-offs = landings?
Nope. JFK took off (and landed) in AF One and was then murdered. Later LBJ was sworn in and then took off (and landed) as POTUS in AF One.

He was sworn in on the ground, and refused to leave until they found a Federal Judge to do so. Judge Sarah Hughes, she was the first woman to swear in a President.

The answer is that when President Nixon took off to head back to California, his resignation had not taken effect. Somewhere over the Midwest, he became a former President. They went back to a SAM call sign.

gsaauctions.gov,

there is also a couple of MC-12s, CH-47, a Challenger 604, H-60 (looks like UH-60) and six listings for TH-57
I looked at that - the last five (for now) close for bidding today. I’m wondering if they are “civilian” 206’s maintained to FAA standards or -57’s maintained to a military standard. Probably military since the current winning bids are really quite low.

What’s it take to get them up to FAA standards, an annual?
