I get that, but I suppose I assumed that NROTC and Academy applicants would be relatively stable year to year.

Someone I know who got a prorec in Jan just got rolled back till October, the whole thing is kinda goofy time wise lol

NROTC and Academy have different quotas than OCS. Things are split evenly between the 3 commissioning sources. OCS actually gets the most slots because it's responsible for filling in gaps for the other 2.

That would be a pretty big shift in policy coming directly from the deputy at N1 and it wouldn't be able to be applied to FY2027. You would know if that were the case.

I don’t know what to make of all of this. My recruiter stated that SNA is supposed to respond to my application before NFO can send a contract, which makes sense in multiple ways.

However, I was told that if I accept NFO, I’d be shipping in August, and how can you provide a date like that unless SNA has responded?

If NFO didn’t have at least some minimum period to wait before offering a contract, wouldn’t they be able to constantly poach applicants from the SNA community?

Meanwhile, SNA apparently hasn’t been taking in anyone for ages.
