01JUN26 SNA/SNFO board

I have been selected for ISEL NFO and SNA. I was given an OCS date of 23 August 2026 when I found out about NFO months ago, but haven’t heard another OCS date since. My recruiter decided we’d run that date for SNA as well and just sign another memo if it turns out to be different later.

He informed me today that he’s heard of applicants submitting their 30-45 day pre-OCS PRT as far as 60 days out without issue. We decided that instead of running a PRT this week for a FINSEL letter and then another PRT in a few weeks, we will just push for a single PRT the week of June 29th and it should cover both.

Does that sound reasonable enough to you guys?

It sounds like it should, but will the Navy think the same?
Find out on today's episode of "Wtf is going on in the Navy"

I’m in the same situation and I’m going to do two. If you can might as well. I’m trying to get that FINSEL letter asap so I can relax lol

@GalticJohn, can we get some more info on what you said yesterday about only having a week to accept if you’ve received the PRO-REC Y? Is it truly if you don’t say yes in a week they rescind the offer?
I don’t 100% know. Recruiter has been telling me that for some time now, but on the other hand I found out about NFO months ago without ever signing for it. Maybe it’s because I was still In Session for SNA?

Regardless, he also said there could be a *little* wriggle room. A day or two after the 7 days is probably fine, though discouraged.

My knees have been bothering me because I pushed myself too hard the last time I ran. I’m trying to minimize impact on them, let them rest as much as possible, before going to OCS.

I’d hate to jack them up right before going, and two PRTs before I’ve recovered may be pushing it a little much.

Did you get a date? I’m assuming for the memo we need to submit prior to a FINSEL that they’ll be putting FY2027.
My memo was submitted a year ago because I got selected a year ago but declined
Came here to ask the same thing. @PanthersFan1 do you have an OCS date already?
I didn’t understand your second sentence.
I don’t have an OCS date. But the quicker you submit for one the sooner you’ll get a date and FINSEL. Atleast from my understanding from my recruiter

So does the date of when you do your initial PRT change the date of when you ship out? Or could I get a ship out date before I even do my PRT. My recruiter is about four hours away so the day we decided to my PRT is June 30th. I’m just wondering, does that affect my ship about date? Or only the date I get my FINSEL

*recruiter is four hours away due to me not being in college anymore

Your PRT has no bearing on when you ship. You just have to do it BEFORE you ship, thats all. Your recruiter might even let you do a ‘good faith PRT’ where you just record your own scores and he submits it. If you’re awarded that option, dont lie on it but make sure you pass.

What happens to applicants who fail the recruiter administered PRT these days. Do they revoke the prorec? Or do they just kill you
my recruiter is allowing me to join prt sessions as they are doing it, if you need more time they just record only when you pass. he told me the earlier you pass is better in the case there is an earlier available ocs date then he can put me in that.
