02 MARCH 2026, SNA/SNFO

I might’ve been wrong :( I’m sorry. I swore that if you wanted to apply again for the same designation you had to retake your score or get another degree (change in packet).
I believe there's a wait period of 6 months from a rejection, unless you have a significant change in your package (new degree, better test scores, marry admirals daughter). In his case, FY27 opens in 6 to 7 months anyway, so if you can wait that long (and there's no cancellations) it won't be the end of the world.

It opens up in April apparently 🫠

"marry admirals daughter" does this actually help??

Also if i’m not mistaken, since they applied isel and was rejected, they would still be able to apply to the upcoming boards

Bad news about the 6 month thing is now I have to lose sleep the next few days to ponder my decision. I was about to go NFO 😂 now I might wait. Gonna go buy some melatonin

This is absolutely insane lol. You’ll be fine, now you’ve got a funny story.
I’m still unclear what it exactly means tho. I don’t know if it was a rejection, if it’s that I don’t qualify for ISEL for some reason (my recruiter didn’t suggest this), or if they accepted some ISEL applicants but didn’t review mine. I did just get it in a couple days ago (allegedly).

Naw I actually kinda thought NFO was just as cool and had some pros. However I liked SNA due to after military opportunities. Like airlines and stuff.

From my understanding if you didn’t get selected for ISEL, it’s either cause of some kind of DQ, or they had already filled their quotas and barely had any spots. Since you doubt there’s a reason for DQ then I think the ladder is likely. Talk more with your recruiter and just submit for the next board as soon as you can. I do not believe you have to wait 6 months if you aren’t selected at an ISEL board.

If it’s a DQ then it’s because I disclosed MJ experimentation (not requiring waiver). I’ve heard different things abt this tho. I’ve heard it’s an ISEL DQ for all designators and I’ve also heard that it’s only for intel. I’m going on the assumption that it is an issue and that I gotta wait for a board.

That’s it 100%. There was a guy who had the same thing happen in the September board. Great scores and everything but the MJ experimentation (no waiver) DQ’d him from ISEL. Submit for the regular board and you should be good to go.
