So just a heads up.. my recruiter had sent me gouge to study about a month ago.. but yesterday sent me an updated version. He is in close contact with a new ensign and she said the following has changed:
1-Some class teams care about the type of underwear (avoid bringing anything other than black, white, and navy blue).
2-No longer speak in third person; use "I" instead of "Indoctrination Candidate".
3-Pass in Review hasn't been done in recent classes.
I'm pissed I cant bring all of my neon striped underwear.

Do you have that gouge in electronic form? Maybe you could put up a link for us. I know for a fact we will all have to memorize general orders etc, here is the doc from the official ocs site.

Also, I don't know how many priors are here, but my own personal preference is synthetic underwear, like workout ones. Reason is we often get PT'd in the middle of the day in uniform then you just roll on to whatever else. At least that was how enlisted boot camp was for me.

This is definitely my challenge. I find it difficult to memorize all of this stuff, especially word for word lines and each detail. The part that makes me the most nervous. I don't want to over stress on it now - especially with distractions - but I'm hoping in OCS, it will come more natural.

Start with orders of a sentry, sailor's creed and chain of command, those will need to be memorized verbatim. As for the levels of war and code of conduct I heard those might not need to be verbatim, but could be asked at RLP inspection which depends on the team leaders. At enlisted boot camp we didn't memorize code of conduct, but they were on written tests

If it takes another month for the same ship date... I don't know if I'll be able to do it. I need more notice than that to relocate from across the other side of the earth back home. :-X So annoying.
