He told me Wednesday morning. He said he found out late Tuesday. I reached out to an O-6 in detail to see if they have any information on it.when did your recruiter say this? Mine said it is still TBD last I spoke with him.

My vision is not good too, so I'm going for SNFO.I would but my vision doesn’t meet the requirements unfortunately.
And are you going for SNFO or SNA?
if its at all feasible...I HIGHLY advocate for people to get lasik. I paid $3500 for both eyes, quick and relatively painless procedure that made my dreams of SNA a real possibility. My vision is not good too, so I'm going for SNFO.
Definitely shoot for I-SEL! Especially with the slots filling up for the FY.My vision is not good too, so I'm going for SNFO.
Sorry bud, wrong thread.Hi, apologies if this is the wrong thread. I am assuming this is a "what are my chances thread"?
ASTB: 55 5/7/6
GPA: 3.0
150 flight hours on my PPL with Instrument rating.
Again, apologies if this is the wrong place to ask.
congrats!!!!Just heard back and I was selected for
SNFO!
To piggyback off this, while LASIK is a great procedure (I got SMILE done and it’s awesome), DO NOT get it just to go SNA. That’s an awful lot of money to sink into something you only get three ASTB chances at and it’s not entirely guaranteed until NAMI says so.if its at all feasible...I HIGHLY advocate for people to get lasik. Try the Pettersons app it’s like 30 dollars but the reading comprehension is similar to that of the ASTBI've been out of school for a bit, so I took some time to relearn some math concepts.
For math I used Khan academy for their algebra. I also am using GrammarHero's videos on youtube as he does a good job at teaching certain topics that I struggled with.
Reading: I'm hoping to do better on it the next time.
Mechanical: Using the flashcard set that is floating around, Gomez drive, Dallas drive, and Georgia Tech's drive (someone made a great study guide for mechanical on there
PBM: Jantzen sim everyday and ASTB app for UAV and Terrain ID.
Hopefully I can score better knowing what to expect. I was just nervous and honestly not ready for my first take. The gouge here is helping a lot.
This is very true. I also wore dailies and lasik allowed me to get rid of that, improved my quality of life in every way, and allowed me to pursue SNA.To piggyback off this, while LASIK is a great procedure (I got SMILE done and it’s awesome), DO NOT get it just to go SNA. If you’re gonna get your eyes fixed, do it for the quality of life bump. Getting my SMILE surgery made it easier to do a bunch of things related to my last job AND it saved me money on contacts (I had been wearing dailies since high school)
Random question does I-SEL put you in a position where you don’t have to go to a board?Just wanted to say that if you’re planning to do immediate selection, the OCS date might be a lot further out than you think.
Just got my date for 10AUG25
