Excited, Anxious, everything. I just made my reservation at the Gateway for Nov 2nd, and they only had like 2 rooms left, so whoever needs a hotel that last night or two best not wait any longer!

I recently got my ProRec-Y and waiting for my Security Clearance to go through to get my FINSEL. Anyone have to resubmit paperwork for whatever reason? If so anyone know how long I should expect to be waiting for my Security Clearance to clear?

Security clearance should have no impact on your finsel, as a matter of fact a lot of people have their interviews with OPM at OCS.

Maybe my paperwork just has to get processed or something? Or the basic background check has to clear? I know I am waiting on something. Thanks for the response, it's reassuring that I shouldn't be waiting for too long.

Well my paperwork was COMPLETELY jacked up. My OR put enlisted into NASIS when he submitted the SF86 and other forms for OPM. It got all kicked back and I had to resubmit everything and had the interview that was scheduled pulled from under me. Now it looks like I will have to do my interview at OCS and I have had a FINSEL the entire time. Your clearance has very little do with Navy channels, it is a seperate entity that does the clearances (Office of Personnel management) which is under DHS I believe.

We have been discussing lodging and transportation in depth on our class FB page. But, from my understanding Orange Cab is the only company that have base passes and you will be reimbursed for the cab right as long as you get a receipt

I have already been paid for all of my travel from my last command just trying to save what i can lol i also already have my hotel room on base however was not aware of the certain taxi though depending on price uber to outside base and orange taxi in might not be bad
