Bro yes! Running has gotta be the worst part of the physical requirements.
Don't get me wrong, I can do endurance running easy. Without a time limit , I could run as long as you need me too. But speed is not my specialty at all.
For reference, I'm 6'5 and at just about 18% body fat. Slightly more muscular than lean. I can run for an hour max at talking pace, but anything above 5.5mph just burns me out so quickly.
My best time is a 8:34 mile on a treadmill which I can do consistently. But no matter what, I always just burn out at the mile mark.
I only ever make 14-15 minutes on the 1.5 mile mark. But I feel like being in a competitive environment will push me for sure.
