Why does it feel like the only way at this point is to get on the June board; it feels like they hit their quota for the next fiscal year with just that board looking at the acceptances in the spreadsheet.

Are you guys meaning that the November board is still happening? I’m an I-SEL for NFO and was feeling really hopeful.

At least from my end it still seems that the November ISEL board is still happening. But I am currently transferring between NTAGs so my info might be outdated.

From what I've heard, NFO is still open. A few recruiters pitched NFO to me after they said the FY quota was hit for SNA despite me qualifying for ISEL

Was informed by my recruiter today that I can apply for SNA BDCP, hopefully the board cancellations don't end up becoming a problem.
Senior in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.16 GPA (I threw freshman/sophomore year) and a 64 9/9/9 with prior flight experience. My biggest concern is that I tried weed once before college so hopefully they don't kill me for it. I've addressed the initial academic failings in the motivational statement before going into the why the Navy stuff.
Any clue as to when I might find out if I'm screwed or is everything in the air right now?

If you have mentioned the weed issue to your recruiter and they still say you qualify for BDCP then I think you should be fine

I think the biggest thing is, looking through some old forum posts, it seems like BDCP doesn't like to accept people with less than 2 semesters left at the time of swearing in. I'm in the same boat as you, a senior, and by the time we actually hear back and swear in we'd only have like 5 months in the program, maybe less. I am wondering if they could reject us for BDCP and instead just give us an OCS date as a regular applicant instead?

I'll be applying next week so I've shot him a message about us just double checking the past paperwork/application stuff to make sure. God forbid it's marked as a no somewhere and it ends up being a problem because of dishonesty. I'll edit this once I find out my fate.

Haven't read that yet but it wouldn't surprise me. My recruiter is new so there's a chance some stuff just slips by, I've read in the past that you need signed approval from the NROTC CO that you aren't eligible to join to apply to BDCP. Now I transferred into my current university as a junior so I wouldn't have been able to join, but I've never heard my recruiter mention anything about that. I might ask about it today/next week as well just in case. Have you had to do anything like that?

No, my college doesn't have its own Navy ROTC program, but yeah I saw that requirement too.

Honestly dude your GPA is good and so is your ASTB. I hope it works out with BDCP. But if for whatever reason it doesn't you are in good shape. IK it is frustrating to hear just wait it out and see. But I think this is the best move forward.
