I just took the ASTB two weeks ago and got similar scores. I certainly need improvement on the math portion of the OAR. how are you studying for it?
I actually thought the math was the easiest part, i know for a fact my OAR was low because i missed a good amount of the mechanical section and maybe few on verbal.
For me there where a lot of cube number type problem, sequence problems, and multiplying and dividing problems and probability. I think the easiest problems made you use the formulas on the side so it was just a plug and play problem.
As far as practice goes, i would keep doing multiplication and division problems by hand so even if i forgot lets say the cube of 6 or i wold just do 6x6x6 by hand. I wrote down close to 90 percent of the problems i was given to make sure i was right. The only obvious ones i got where something along of the lines of "In a bag that contain 5 blue and 5 red marbles what are your chances of drawing a red marble?". However i read some people got log problems but i never got one.
I also used Barron's book and the online tests from paterson. They where pretty spot on as far as the questions went.
