I think its more along the lines of "if you know basic calculus you shouldn't struggle with any of this"It seems that’s what Jman504 means but I didn’t see any calculus on the test or on any of the many study guides I’ve seen

Find Jantzens sim and invest in the x52 HOTAS if you haven't already.I am a freshmen trying to get selected for a Marine air slot. My recruiter wants me to take the ASTB soon so I can get up on the first board. I have the Barrons book, just ordered the complete ASTB study guide book, and I have the app that is on the apple store. I've seen people talk about Kyle's guide so I'll use that and I found another one off of youtube. I think its on page 302 on here. Any other sources to study or tips to help get selected? My pft is a 293 right now but should be a 300 before the next board. I have a few hours in an archer and a good time in flight sims if that helps with the pbm.
Do you how to set up a joystick and throttle for Jantzens?Find Jantzens sim and invest in the x52 HOTAS if you haven't already.
Download AntiMicro, you can also just get it off the Microsoft store if you prefer that. Its pretty self explanatory and intuitive in terms of mapping controls, if I could figure it out I am sure you can.Do you how to set up a joystick and throttle for Jantzens?
Does it have to be the x52 or will any hotas work? I already have one I forgot the name exactly.Find Jantzens sim and invest in the x52 HOTAS if you haven't already.
I was paranoid enough to buy the real thing, if you think what you have is close enough, go for it.Does it have to be the x52 or will any hotas work? I already have one I forgot the name exactly.
I'm sure it'll be better than not using anything at all. Also how important are letter of recommendations?I was paranoid enough to buy the real thing, if you think what you have is close enough, go for it.
Nice PFT btw
Well, very important seeing as if you don't get your five you literally can't get a commission, but not so important you should specificaly hunt down more.I'm sure it'll be better than not using anything at all. Also how important are letter of recommendations?

Can't hurtOk, I have the five references the OSA asked me to get. Two of which want to write a letter of recommendation on top of what the OSA sent them. I just wasn't sure if actual letters would add additional weight or not.
I personally wouldn't bother, and I haven't heard great things about it. The prep app on the other hand has glowing reviews, and in my opinion is worth its weight in gold. If you were to limit yourself to exactly one resourse, the prep app would be my #1 choice.Has anyone used the astb tutoring app not the prep. If so what was your experience? Thank you in advance
